Biography of Janice Schooler Litvin
As a prior software developer with a degree in math, Ms. Litvin brings her
technical expertise into her executive recruiting and research. She worked for four
years at Bank of America's I.T. department in San Francisco as a Cobol programmer,
then she became a consultant and trainer at a software consulting firm called
Computer Sciences Corporation, Infonet Division. Later she moved on to Levi Strauss
where she performed quality assurance.
Wanting to go back to the consulting arena she started Micro Search in 1983
to assist clients with choosing computer software and
learning how to use it. She quickly saw the need for expertise in recruiting
and decided to do executive search full time.
She has worked with software companies such as Symantec, Borland, Informix, Sun, Oracle, Tandem, Lotus,
all located in Silicon Valley.
She has also sourced and recruited for PG&E, Network Appliance, Charles Schwab, Vodafone, Quinstreet, and NewScale.
Micro Search is now located in Lafayette, California.
